Number of probes
Select the number of probes in the probe set.
  • Validated kits: the number of probes is fixed.
  • Custom kits: the number of probes is restricted only by the length of the target. We recommend starting with approximately five probes in a probe set (see FAQ).
Probe scale
For 200 experiments, you will receive a total of 100 pmol of each probe. This is based on a 250 µL hybridization volume for each experiment on whole-mount zebrafish embryos/larvae.
HCR Amplifier
Be sure to plan ahead and choose different amplifier systems for different target mRNAs that are to be imaged in the same sample. Amplifier selection is restricted for validated kits.
Amplifier scale
For 40 experiments, you will receive a total of 600 pmol of each amplifier. This is based on a 250 µL amplification volume for each experiment on whole-mount zebrafish embryos/larvae.
Fluorophore
Select the fluorophore for this amplifier. Choose spectrally distinct fluorophores for different target mRNAs that are to be imaged together. Fluorophore selection is restricted for validated kits.
Buffer scale
For whole-mount zebrafish embryos/larvae, 40 experiments (250 µL reaction volume each) will include:
  • 20 mL probe hybridization buffer
  • 80 mL of probe wash buffer
  • 20 mL of amplification buffer
